Conversation cards for kids & families

Our Future Edition

Our Future Edition

What kind of future do we want to create -together? This deck was made to help kids (and the grown-ups who support them) build confidence, empathy, and connection through the simplest thing: a good question. It starts light, opens gently, and makes it easy to talk about feelings, values, and the world they’re inheriting without turning it into a “big talk" (unless you both want to).

As Seen In

Great for families who want…

  • A screen-free ritual for dinner, bedtime, or car rides

  • An easy way to help your kids open up (without pressure)

  • A gentle way to build social emotional learning skills like empathy and confidence, together

Is this an actual game?

It’s a conversation deck, not a traditional game. You can keep it casual or turn it into a game by having everyone answer and choosing a favorite response.

What ages is it for? Will it work for younger kids and teens?

It’s designed for ages 7+, but some families use it with younger kids too—you know your kids best. If you’re playing with little ones, you can curate the questions (or rephrase them) to match their age and attention span.

And yes, this deck is also great for teens who tend to give one-word answers: the prompts are built to invite stories, opinions, and feelings without it feeling like an interrogation. Start light, let them pass if needed, and you’ll usually get more than “fine.”

Can I use this in classrooms or school settings?

Yes. Many teachers and counselors use Our Future for morning meetings, circles, or small groups. There’s also a version of this page created specifically for classroom use.

Is this appropriate for kids?

Yes. The questions are designed to be age-appropriate and supportive, with space for kids to answer—or pass—at their own pace.
